The transforming simply gives you more tactical options and it just looks cool. Any of your tanks or rocket shooters or whatevers can be double tapped and it transforms into a robot capable of dealing different kind of attack to enemies like flamethrower machine or a drone that makes your power-ups stay longer and have bigger range. What makes the sequel really shining are the transforming units. Anomaly 2 puts you right in the middle of an ongoing battle to save humanity, and each mission you play in Story Mode inches you one step closer to saving the planet. In the single player campaign you have the decoy and healing ability you may know from previous anomalies and the new ones are EMP and aim that lets you power-up your attack on a selected enemy.
